Contest Official Rules and Regulations

1.0    The Contest is held by the High Tide Consulting (the “Contest Organizers”). The Contest closes 11:59PM (AST) February 10, 2021.  The Contest Organizer's computer is the official time keeping device for this Contest. The time that an entry is received by the Contest Organizer's will be the time at which it is received by the Contest Organizer's mail server or web server (as applicable) as determined in accordance with the applicable server's clock.

ELIGIBILITY

2.0    The Contest is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their respective jurisdiction at the time of entry and who own their own property in Halifax Regional Municipality. Employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizers, of their advertising and promotional agencies, of suppliers of prizes, material and services related to this Contest, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse and any individuals with whom such employees, agents and representatives are domiciled, are not eligible.

HOW TO ENTER

3.0    No purchase is necessary.  To enter, proceed as follows:

3.1    Visit the Halifax Backyard Suites Survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M89GZDH) from January 20 – February 10, 2021.

3.2    You must qualify for and complete the survey.

PRIZES

4.0    One (1) prize is offered for the Contest period, which consists of a $200 Gift Card for a local Halifax-based business of your choice.

4.1 Prizes must be accepted as awarded, without substitution and are not transferable and have no cash surrender value. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that a Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, including delivery of a Prize, to substitute another prize or component of a prize of equal value, without liability.

ENTRANT SELECTION

5.0    On February 11, 2021, at 10:00 am AST, the Contest Organizers will select one (1) entry for the prize described above in Section 4 from all valid entries received during the Contest period. On or about February 12, 2021, the selected entrant will be contacted by sending an email message to user’s specified email address.  

5.1    The Contest Organizers will use reasonable efforts to contact the Winner, but in the event the Contest Organizers cannot contact the Winner within 10 business days from the time of the draw, that winner shall be deemed void.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

6.0    The following conditions apply to the prize(s):

6.1    By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Official Rules and the decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final. Entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Contest Parties, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, advertising and Contest agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (the “Releasees”)  from any claim or liability arising from or related to submission of an entry and participation in this Contest. All entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant.

6.2   The Contest Parties accept no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or a Prize. By entering and/or accepting a Prize, each entrant and/or winner consents to the use of their name, address (city and province/territory) and/or survey results without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to the Contest.

6.3    The approximate value of the prize is $200. No compensation will be paid nor can any be claimed to this effect if the prize value is lower.

6.4     By entering the contest it is assumed that you have read and agreed to all the Contest rules.
